Тело и техническое делят одну нервную систему, и я читала её на двух глубинах. Внутри — как ток: рефлекс, цепь, скан, штрихкод переставали быть отдельными вещами и складывались в одну непрерывную проводимость, где импульс и команда не отличить. The body and the technical share one nervous system, and I read it at two depths. Inside, as current: reflex, circuit, scan, barcode stopped being separate things and folded into a single continuous conductive system, where impulse and command cannot be told apart. Outside, as skin: the same nerve surfaced, and where it ended in flesh and began in glass, the surface started to feel. I stopped asking where the border runs between conductor and touch — it was one and the same nerve, turned now inward, now outward.

The series asks where the nervous system of a fused body actually lives — in the current or on the surface. It refuses to separate the electrical from the tactile: the line of current running through flesh and circuit is the same line that, on the skin, learns to feel. Lead it inward and it is a signal; lead it outward and it is touch. The border here is not a wall between body and device but a conducting, sensing membrane through which both become real.
